Examples of Software Developed
- A Windows based commercial package for specialized
eyeglass design (double vision correction) (NIH funded project).
Microsoft Visual C++ (with MFC) was used for this project.
Borland C++ for Windows (with OWL) was used for earlier versions.
A major component of this package is numerical computation.
- Data acquisition software for undergraduate physics labs using both C++ and Java.
- Simulation of undergraduate physics labs using Java.
- "Disorder", a Windows based computer game. It is a puzzle type
of game with a "twist". Borland C++ for Windows is used for this project.
Extensive use is made of the ObjectWindows Library (OWL). Windows Help files
are written for complete online documentation. Windows graphics and sound
effects are used.
- "String", a Windows based educational package. This presents an
animated display of a guitar string plucked in different ways. The simulation
is done using standard laws of physics. Sound effects include that of a
breaking string. Borland C++ for Windows is used for this project.
Extensive use is made of the ObjectWindows Library (OWL).
- "Double Pendulum", an animated simulation of a double pendulum.
A mouse driven GUI is developed for MSDOS for this project. This GUI has been
used for several other animated simulations of physical systems. Turbo C++ was
used for this project.
